Double Chocolate Beetroot Cake

Yes. We know. Not an obvious combination, but hey, why not!

There’s carrot cake, courgette cake, the old favourite banana cake, not to mention pineapple, pumpkin and coconut, so why not a beetroot cake?

It’s moist, unbelievably chocolatey with a wonderful texture. We’ve used plenty of our usual 70% plain chocolate, best cocoa powder, unsalted butter and freshly prepared beetroot to create this marvellous new addition to the range. This cake is then topped with more chocolate just for god measure.

It cuts and keeps very well for several days in a tin, is especially good as a cake to take on picnics and days out, and also great with ice cream.
